How do I make a picture gallery of my flyers?

I always wondered how people take a copy of their flyer and put it on a web site, like from this web address;

http://www.roachmaterial.co.uk/

I do have a scanner, but how do you take a copy of an A3 size flyer?

If I wanted to make a picture copy of all my flyers, not necessarily on a web site, just for personal use, is there a programme or editing device I can use to shrink the flyer picture size, just like in the web address above?

any advice would be welcome
