How to 'Clean Up' Tatty Flyers in Photoshop

Hello raveflyers,

I wanted some advice on how to clean up flyers using Photoshop or something free that is equivilent. Soon I am going to digitise quite a few flyers to my P.C that have very visible creases, tears etc. in the hope I can clean them up a bit. I have never used Photoshop etc. Before so hoping anybody out there has some experience of this.
