Hi ther and thanks for raising this interesting topic [Forum is not used much for that]. Anyway, i would put these flyers as the rarest and heres why:-

01 Hedonism Feb 1988
(Hedonism was mythically the first 'Warehouse' party thats main focus was Acid House rather than the often critisised 'Shoom' parties that played mainly a commercial 'Pop' House which was also quoted by Mr C a dj at R.I.P and later of the Shamen. So if you are a real fan of the 'Underground' Acid House scene then this is the rarest in that respect purely because you could be anybody from a missfit to a footbal hooligan and get in but its been said that shoom was slightly more door restrictive. but at NO 2 i would put:-

02 Shoom (The First Flyer ?) purely because it was a major part of the new 'House' scene in England and did support the growing Acid House scene which it ironically commercialised when the Smiley face logo was used on one of its flyers which i have put in at no3 due to the image of the smiley face which is still 'the' symbol of all things oldskool.

03 Shoom (The Smiley Face One ?)

04 Sunrise 1+ 2. Am going to have to agree with Weed here, the first two sunrise flyers have never been seen (by myself anyway, anybody seen them???). Not only are they hard to find and early 88' Sunrise promotions were the fist promoters to consistantly put on big organised raves illegal/legal and gained the reputation as the first and best rave organisers in the country. Aty the time Acid House raves were either small unknown but to a few events that were shrouded in mystery or tended to be events held in lesuire centres and backroom clubs such as Shoom and Future. Sunrise baught the raves onto the 'streets' into the Gas works and Warehouses and spawned the likes of other early warehouse parties to grow balls and have it large regardless of the law i.g Genesis.

05. Now, this is a hard one.....there was a flyer from December 1987 organised somewhere in London because i saw it in a collection my brother had years ago, i remember it because it was the first one he ever baught back to the house. It was a small flyer which appeared to have a silohette of a face with the words 'Open Minds' coming out of it. Whether it was House or Acid House im not sure but if anybody knows of this flyer let us all know !!!!!.

Hope that has been of help. Take Care

Anton
