no where to get flyers around here anymore (Dartdford area), all the record shops seem to be slowly shutting down. most of the record sales are now done over the internet.
as for flyers, the rave scene is as big as ever and there are thousands of flyers still to collect out there, I put on an event called Out Of This World and when I was flying some events there were hundreds of other people there handing out flyers (I was amazed at just how many there was).
the best way to get flyers these days if you don't go out is to join the mailing lists, most events have one these days which you can usually join from there websites.
