Revenge 29/06/91 + Headstrong 21/12/91 were 2 of them.
I believe Energy 07/09/91 didn't go ahead either, but was a strange 1 as you had to call the Magical Mystery Line 4 Days Before to find out where it would be. Probably because not enough tickets sold. Carl Cox was in the line up as well as playing at Sterns that night.
I lost £25 on another one but trying to recall what it was as it was a popular rave name and never got a refund!!
The wording was dodgy in all three of these.
: does anyone know of any flyers or promoters that had flyers out for rip off purposes only.
:
: ive recently read about flyers produced for warehouse style raves in 1989 who stocked tickets in various outlets around London with no intention of ever putting on a rave.
:
: they would collect the ticket money on the day of the 'propsed event' and just f**k off with the cash.
:
: I dont want to confuse this with proper legit promoters whose party was stopped by old bill or authorities...just people whose sole intention was to rip off ravers.
:
: It would be interesting to see the flyers and see if they are part of todays collections.
:
: cheers!
