it'd be a ton of work - a digicam wd be ok if it could be set up exactly at 90 degrees, and the lighting was arranged so there was no reflected glare but it was still bright enough to be able to read the print
scanning wd probably take longer, but if high enough quality it may be possible to convert images of magazine articles to text output using OCR software? not something i've tried
definitely a major project... but a gallery of 10,000 images starts with one snap as Lao Tzu might have said :)
